Considerations for Wholesale Ribbon Procurement
Ribbon procurement might seem like a simple material purchase from the outside, but disruptions in the production line or packaging process can cost businesses both time and money. When making a professional purchase, one should look beyond the unit price and focus on product standards and continuity. Products chosen just because they are a few cents cheaper per roll can lead to labor losses on the production line. As Kurdelecim, we promise a transparent and sustainable supply process.
1. Length and Waste Issues
A frequent issue in the wholesale market is length deficiency. The amount written on the label might not match what's inside. Even more critical is the "spliced product" problem. Tape-joined broken pieces within a roll cause pauses in automatic packaging machines, increasing labor costs. Our products come with a full-length guarantee and are wound as single-piece continuous strands for industrial use.
2. Color Continuity (Batch Consistency)
The biggest enemy of corporate identity is color deviation. Your brand's red is specific. In non-standard productions, there might be a tone difference between the product you buy this month and the one you buy next. This creates a "defective production" perception on shelves. We use color measurement devices in our dyehouse to keep tone differences to a minimum.
3. Stock Power and Rapid Delivery
Running out of material in the middle of production planning is a major problem. In our Istanbul-based warehouse, we maintain constant stock in core colors and all sizes. You don't wait for production to start; products are shipped directly from the shelf.
4. Width (Gauge) Standardization
Width is critical for precision packaging. A ribbon that should be 20mm but arrives as 18mm can cause packaging failures. In our looms, width tolerance is at a minimum level, which is essential for logo alignment in printed works.
